MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

The Department of Master of Business Administration (MBA) was introduced at 2009 well formed with the primary objective of providing world class education in the field of management. The MBA programme, leading to the award of Post Graduate Degree in Management by the Anna University, Chennai through. It has been carefully designed to balance the theoretical knowledge with practical skills, providing managers with problem solving frameworks applicable to their work and beneficial to the development of their professional skills.

To be an open access, student-focused teaching/training division with the capability of training students to integrate and apply knowledge from the core disciplines of management with strong, analytical and team building skills to challenge the diverse global environment.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs):

  • PEO1: Graduates of the MBA program will possess excellent communication skills and have ability to analyse the business environment with leadership qualities and problem solving skills
  • PEO2: To train the students of the Management program for logical and practical approach to problem solving and function effectively as skilled managers who can respond to changing environment in a social and global context
  • PEO3: Graduates of the MBA program will be recognized in their chosen fields for their managerial competence, creativity & innovation, integrity & sensitivity to local and global issues and have ability to drive entrepreneurship initiative either on their own or within other organizations where they are employed.

  • A pass in a recognised Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.
