Research Policies

The research and development cell was established in the year 2009 to promote research activities of the faculty members, scholars and students of the college. The R&D cell was setup with the objectives of developing the strategic plan for scientific and technology research ensuring the implementation of such plan. The research activities include supervision, execution of new research, interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research, academic research collaboration with national and international institution/ Universities, Government/ private industry, government funded/ private funded projects that results in the development of new or existing products, process or thesis, there by publication, IPR and transfer of technology

Objectives of Research and Development cell:

1. Promoting innovation: Encouraging creative thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship among students, faculty, and staff.

2. Conducting research: Facilitating and supporting research projects, studies, and experiments in various fields.

3. Fostering collaboration: Building partnerships with industry, academia, and government to leverage resources, expertise, and funding.

4. Developing new technologies: Creating new products, processes, and services that address real-world problems and needs.

5. Enhancing knowledge: Advancing knowledge in various fields and contributing to the global body of research.

6. Supporting academic programs: Integrating R&D activities with academic programs to enhance learning and teaching.

7. Encouraging entrepreneurship: Supporting start-ups, spin-offs, and incubators to commercialize R&D outputs.

8. Building capacity: Developing research skills, expertise, and infrastructure to support R&D activities.

9. Disseminating research: Publishing research findings, presenting at conferences, and sharing knowledge with stakeholders.

10. Securing funding: Attracting grants, funding, and investments to support R&D projects and initiatives.

J.K.K.Munirajah College of Technology (JKKMCT) is committed to serve the society by conducting state of art research on par with the national and international standards. JKKMCT creates an open platform to encourage research society and to pursue scholarly research activities. The researchers will abide by the research policy of the Institute in accordance with the two key principles namely, Quality and Ethics. They are also responsible for ensuring that the research practices are carried out in conformance with the Anna University research policy.
